The Teacher Wellbeing Alliance (TWA) Awards recognise and celebrate schools and organisations that are committed to fostering a positive, supportive environment for staff. By taking part, you’ll not only enhance staff wellbeing but also strengthen your organisation’s reputation as a great place to work.

With Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels available, you can showcase your growing commitment to staff wellbeing and demonstrate continuous improvement over time.

A Wellbeing Award for Every Stage of Your Journey

BRONZE LEVEL
Foundations for Wellbeing

Goal: Take your first step by engaging with CPD-accredited training and initiating a focus on staff wellbeing.

Features:

  • At least one staff member with line management responsibilities completes Leading for a Culture of Wellbeing.
     
  • At least five staff members complete Resilient Strategies for Classroom Teachers.
     
  • Schools receive a digital 'Bronze Award' badge and recognition as a member of the Teacher Wellbeing Alliance.
     
  • Reviewed annually.

SILVER LEVEL
Embedding Wellbeing

Goal: Take structured action to develop and embed a wellbeing culture.

Features:

  • At least five staff members with line management responsibilities complete Leading for a Culture of Wellbeing.
     
  • At least 40% of teaching staff complete Resilience Strategies for Classroom Teachers.
     
  • Submission of a Wellbeing Strategy Report (template provided) outlining the school’s wellbeing initiatives and future plans.
     
  • Schools receive a 'Silver Award' digital badge and are featured in Teacher Wellbeing Alliance case studies to showcase and celebrate their commitment to staff wellbeing.
     
  • Reviewed annually.

GOLD LEVEL
Leading Wellbeing Excellence

Goal: Schools demonstrate a sustained, whole-school commitment to staff wellbeing.

Features:

  • The majority (min 80%) of teaching and leadership staff complete at least one CPD-accredited wellbeing course with What2Learn CPD.
     
  • The school has designated a Wellbeing Champion to lead ongoing initiatives.
     
  • Submission of a Wellbeing Impact Report (template provided), evaluating progress and next steps.
     
  • One hour consultation and review with school consultant and wellbeing expert Steph Hawkins.
     
  • Schools receive a digital 'Gold Award' badge and a physical award  to showcase their commitment to staff wellbeing. 
     
  • Featured in Teacher Wellbeing Alliance case studies to showcase and celebrate their commitment to staff wellbeing.
     
  • Reviewed annually.
